Information
To
authors of Latin American Applied Research: An International
Journal:
Dear
Authors,
The Latin American Applied
Research Journal is a university-founded project, which
started in 1970, first managed by the Universidad Nacional de
La Plata, La Plata, Argentina, and then by the Universidad
Nacional del Sur (UNS), Bahía Blanca, Argentina after 1989.
The publication of this journal heavily depends on the
financial support from UNS, CONICET (National Council of
Scientific Research of Argentina) and the subscribers. Its
excellent academic standing relies on the expertise of the
many authors and reviewers like you. Since 1999, the journal
has been included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI)
as part of the Web of Science, and this milestone could not be
reached without the support of the Associate Editors, authors,
reviewers, managing staff, and the UNS. As a Chief Editor, I
would like to see that your work will be further outreaching
and properly cited in other well-consolidated journals listed
in the SCI database. Therefore, I urge you to cite as much as
possible related works published in Latin American Applied
Research when you submit your papers to the other journals.
This is important, for the increasing value of your research
work in this scientific Latin-American journal and also
elsewhere.
After
publication of your article in our journal, you will receive
an electronic (PDF) reprint of
your work. We recommend that you
subscribe, or persuade your library or research institute
alike to subscribe to our journal. The cost of subscription
has been kept to minimum, particularly for institutional
subscriptions.
In the name of the Editorial
Committee, we thank you very much in advance for your
attention, understanding, and support.
Sincerely yours,
José A. Bandoni
Editor-in-Chief LAAR
